These Terms of Sale apply to all purchases made from Valent Vernier (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By purchasing an artwork, you agree to these Terms in addition to our Shipping & Returns and Privacy Policy.
Scope of Sales
These Terms apply to artworks sold:
For artworks sold through third-party galleries or partner institutions, the terms of the selling gallery or institution shall govern the transaction.
Artwork Types
Artworks offered may include:
All works are described in good faith. Variations inherent to materials, process, or editioning are not considered defects.
Inquiries, Availability & Holds
Some works are available for immediate purchase, while others are offered on an inquiry basis.
Submission of an inquiry does not reserve an artwork.
Availability is confirmed only upon written confirmation from Valent Vernier.
A deposit and written confirmation are required to secure any work.
Works may remain available until such confirmation is completed.
Pricing & Payment
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
Payment terms may include full payment at time of purchase or a deposit with balance due prior to shipment or delivery.
Shipping, taxes, duties, and insurance are not included unless expressly stated in writing.
All Sales Final
Due to the nature of fine art, all sales are final unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to purchase.
Returns based on preference, scale, color variation, or aesthetic considerations are not accepted.
Shipping & Risk of Loss
Shipping, delivery, and related terms are outlined in our Shipping & Returns policy.
Risk of loss transfers to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Art Fair Sales
Artworks purchased at art fairs or temporary exhibitions are subject to these Terms unless otherwise stated at point of sale.
Payment may be required at time of purchase.
Delivery may occur after the conclusion of the event.
All art fair sales are final unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Title & Copyright
Title transfers to the buyer upon full payment.
Copyright and all reproduction rights remain with the artist unless expressly transferred in writing. Purchase of an artwork does not grant rights to reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit the work.
Taxes & Duties
Buyers are responsible for all applicable sales tax, use tax, VAT, customs duties, or import fees unless otherwise stated in writing.
